The Paralytic and Stephen

Pearl- While driving on a long trip, I asked Jesus, “Please teach me more. I can’t have my Bible in front of me, but I do have plenty of time. I can listen.” Pearl, in the account of the paralyzed man who was let down through the  roof, the Pharisees had asked Me a question. I had forgiven the man of his sins and the Pharisees asked, “Who can forgive sins but God alone?” I answered their question by demonstrating My authority. I asked them a question, “Which is easier, to forgive or to heal?” The Pharisees did not answer Me, because they had never forgiven or healed anyone. They honestly did not know the answer. I know. It is easier to heal a sick body or do anything else than it is to forgive someone who has sinned against you. Think about it, Pearl. What are very difficult things to do for people? Go to the dentist? Go back to school? Speak in public? Plan a funeral? Learn a new language? What is difficult for you? Now think of a person who has wronged, wounded, and hurt you. Perhaps they feel justified in their actions and do not want forgiveness. Now which is easier – to do that difficult thing, or to forgive that person to the point of looking at them without remembering their sin, being happy to serve them, talk with them, cheer them, console them, and be affectionate toward them? Only My Holy Spirit can give you the power to forgive. You cannot do this on your own. In the realm of My Kingdom, forgiveness is tremendous power on display. This power you can only receive by spending time with Me and submitting to My Will. It is truly supernatural, miraculous power. It takes much more power to forgive than to heal. I want you to do both. Luke 5:17-26  One day Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick. 18 Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. 19 When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus. 20 When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.” 21 The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, “Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” 22 Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? 23 Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 24 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” 25 Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God. 26 Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with awe and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.” Come to Me in the simplicity of a little child. If you are self-conscious, then confess your pride. Desire to kill pride. Ask Me. Mourn over your pride, for it prevents you from awareness of Me. We cannot have real fellowship where there is pride. Strip all earth desires from your heart. Desire only Me. Sit still before Me with only your need and desire for Me, like a child or simple-hearted person. Be confident in My desire to be with you. I died so that all barriers between Us would be torn down. It was for the purpose of intimacy with you that I died. It is My greatest desire. Matthew 19:13-15 Then some children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” 15 After laying His hands on them, He departed from there. The Father, Holy Spirit, and I enjoy continual intimate and intense relations with Each Other and in Each Other. We desire the same with you. That is what you were created for–no other higher purpose than to be in union and fellowship with Us. So approach My Presence in confidence that this is in My perfect Will. Yes, I will “show up.” Be still and know that I AM God. I AM God and I speak. I Love you, My child, and I want fellowship with you. Forget the past. Forget the current events and worries. Just enter into the Secret Place with Me. David was a man after My own Heart. That is usually interpreted as Me having a greater Love for him. I do Love David, but there is much more. Notice the word, “after.” It means, to pursue. David pursued me. During his life, David never stopped seeking Me. During good times, he sought My presence. During tragedy, he sought my Presence. He wrote songs to allow music to usher him into My Presence. When he sinned, he begged Me not to take My Presence from him, because he loved it so much. David sought Me with all his heart – and he found Me. Acts 13: 21-22 After removing Saul, he made David their king. God testified concerning him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.’ Be still in your soul

The story of the ten lepers

Pearl – While driving on a long trip, I asked Jesus, “Please teach me more. I can’t have my Bible in front of me, but I do have plenty of time. I can listen.” Jesus – Immediately He said, “In the story of the ten lepers, I healed all ten while they were on their way to show themselves to the priests. Only one came back to thank Me, when they discovered their leprosy was gone. Only one was grateful and turned around to find Me. He not only thanked Me, but he fell down at My feet.” I asked, “Jesus, what were the nine thinking? Why not run back and say, ‘Thank you!’?” Jesus – Pride leads men to entitlement. Pride says, ‘I deserve this. Of course this should happen. It is only right.’ The one who returned was a Samaritan. He had no sense of entitlement. He realized his sinful state and recognized this as a gift of undeserved Love. He didn’t just say thanks. He cried in a loud voice. He was not concerned about what the onlookers thought. His sinful needy soul came in contact with Love and understanding. He recognized the truth about himself and loved My mercy. The others never saw the truth about themselves. They were Jews who simply had the misfortune of this disease. Of course, it was only right that they should be healed. They did everything right, were from good families in the Jewish traditions. Pride is blinding, Pearl. Pride says, ‘My wife should do such and such, because, after all, she is my wife and I deserve this. My parents should give me such and such, because I deserve it. My family should treat me with kindness, because I serve them well and give them love and kindness. They should see how much I love them and love me back.’ Pride expects gifts and service. Pride demands a return of favors and the same or higher level of service. Pride has self-centered expectations. No one is grateful for what they feel is rightfully theirs to begin with. Humility focuses on Me, Pearl, and your constant state of dependency on Me. You can do nothing without Me. Without Me, you only deserve separation from Me. I asked, “So what can be done about the nine to help them see?” He said, “I healed the nine because, while they were yet sinners, I Loved them and was going to die for them. The power of Love, Love to a hardened heart – hardened by pride and jealousy – is like a battering ram. You must ram the door with Love over and over again, and eventually the door will give way. Pearl, keep using the power of My Love on those hard, blind, and prideful hearts in your life. Love them often. You have seen how blind they are to your services and gifts for them. Pride does that. It does not see or acknowledge acts of Love. Don’t be discouraged. Love always wins. Come to Me continually for a refill of My Presence and Love. You can’t give Love you don’t have. Come soak in My Love until you are overflowing. Then their pride, demands, and anger won’t be intimidating. You will be like a battering ram to their hearts. Miracles will begin. Just wait and watch.” “Pearl, do you feel that feeling of fulfillment and joy?” “Yes, Jesus. It is Your Presence in me.” “Pearl, you have had a measure of this feeling with those in your life I gave you. Your children brought you joy and fulfillment. Being with certain people fulfilled you. Be careful. When you are fulfilled by someone other than Me, then  you are in danger. This relationship might become a soul-tie or idolatry for you. Back away and come to Me. Reaffirm My place in your heart. Choose again – Me or that relationship. I Am jealous for you, Pearl. I won’t share you with anyone. There are only two allowed in Our world, Pearl – you and Me. My Love for you is intense and all-consuming. You are Mine and Mine alone.” “Jesus, there is something about You being jealous for me that is hugely attractive, appealing, wonderful, and makes me crazy in love with You! I choose You! Take every one else away. I choose You!” Luke 17:11-19  11 On the way to Jerusalem he was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. 12 And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance 13 and lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.” 14 When he saw them he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed. 15 Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; 16 and he fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. 17 Then Jesus answered, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? 18 Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” 19 And he said to him, “Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.”

Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you

Ephesians 5:14 This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Are you defiled?  Are you becoming more and more defiled each day? A newborn baby has not yet expressed defilement.  His purity is attractive.  He is not stained with words of anger, unforgiveness, jealousy, doubt, revenge, lust, dishonesty, or rebellion.  His heart has not yet been blackened and hardened by the cold-heartedness of sin.  He was born into a world and life of sin, but it has not taken hold of him yet. His spirit is still warm. Sin is there, but it has not yet defiled him. When a person is exposed to the cold blasts of winter air and freezing temperatures, his body begins the process of dying from the cold. It is the same with sin and the human heart.  The longer the body remains out in the dangerous cold, the more heat of Life is lost.  As the heat of Truth and Life dims, the cold takes over.  The body is never neutral.  It either has the warmth of Life or it has the cold of death. No matter what the person does, exposure to the cold temperature of death will begin to harden the body.  It is the same with sin.  The longer a human heart is exposed to sin and allows it to remain, the colder and more hardened the heart becomes.  This is why you rarely see a young child with a hard, cold heart.  You will see sin progress within that heart each day until the hardness is complete and numbness sets in. When the body is being destroyed by cold, it passes the point of pain and becomes numb as the nerves and tissue are damaged.  An unfeeling heart is in danger just as an unfeeling body.  The longer the body remains exposed to the cold, the more the numbness spreads.  The tissue of the body then becomes hardened as it dies.  The blood of life does not flow through any longer.  The person does not realize what is happening.  He does not know that he is dying. When the heart remains exposed to darkness and sin, it also passes the point of pain to become numb and then hardened.  The warmth of Truth and Life no longer flow through the heart.  The understanding of the mind becomes limited.  Cold-heartedness toward Me, parents, co-workers, relatives, and life in general spreads like frostbite within the soul.  The human does not realize he is in danger of spiritual death because he is numb and without understanding.  Occasionally he may be surprised at what he can do or experience without feeling pain or guilt. The last stage of a body that is dying of frostbite is sleepiness.  The body not only feels no pain, but it desires to sleep.  The person believes he is not in danger, but only in need of sleep.  He may lie down in the snow and intend to sleep for just a while, thinking all is well.  He does not perceive impending doom.  He does not pay attention to the warning signs either from his own body or from others.  He is not far from physical death. This last stage of physical frostbite is a warning to those who have remained away from My warm Love for a long time.  The soul which has become cold-hearted toward Me and others is in danger of allowing the sleep of death to take over.  When one is asleep, they do not see the Truth of their state of being.  They do not pay attention to warning signs and ignore others who attempt to help them.  They prefer numbness and sleep to the Truth. This is the process of defilement from darkness and sin.  How defiled are you?  Ask yourself these questions:  How soft and loving is my heart toward each person Jesus has placed near me?  How content am I with my present circumstances?  Am I at peace or am I restless?  What words are coming out of my mouth?  Do I speak negatively about someone?  Do I speak words of self-pity? Do I speak truth or tell lies?  Do I speak words to impress others?  Do I defend my self at all costs?  Do I place my needs above others? Do I  feel compassion toward others?  Do I understand how others feel and desire to comfort them? Do I prefer to fellowship with the lowly and the needy?  Do I lose patience with those who are undesirable? Do I speak of the past in a negative way? Do I speak of the present in a negative way and long for the “good old days?”  Have I lost my care for the pain of others and my desire to know my Maker? Awake you who sleep and slumber.  Arise from your bed of death.  Ask Me to thaw your heart.  Ask Me to blow warm Love back through your spirit.  Ask Me to show you the Truth.  Seek Me with all your heart.  Set your whole mind and being on coming close to the fire of My Love.  Put away all the things of earth that blow freezing coldness onto your heart.  Run from the dark frost.  Seek Me and My warm healing Love quickly.  Do not let anything or anyone keep you from coming to My fire of deliverance and peace.  Wake up and run. I Love you.  I Am here. I know how to warm your heart and breathe Life within you again.  Come to Me and I will purify your soul and make you clean as a newborn babe. I know how to restore your innocence.  I can make all things new. Do not despise the times of suffering.

Do not despise the times of suffering. I use suffering to make you beautiful. When you bow and accept the suffering, My peace, humility, and patience become dominant over self-defense, self-love, and pride. Accept the trials as gifts from above. Cooperate with the tools of the sculptor by desiring the change they bring. Do not fight against suffering. Accept everything from My Hand knowing that I Am making you perfect and beautiful. During the pain of the suffering, simply lie still before Me in humble submission and relax. Wait while I teach, change, and then heal you. Rest and relax in My Love during the pain. Do not give in to fear. My work is necessary and perfect. Trust My Love for you. Be still and wait quietly. James 1:1-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.  If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. Are you humbly leaning on Me, or are you pridefully independent? You will know by how many times each hour you ask Me for wisdom and help. Not seeking Me equals pride and independence from Me. Seeking My Wisdom and help constantly equals humility and dependence on Me. Ask Me to lead you. The more you ask, the more I lead. Do you want My Will in big decisions only? Ask. Do you want My Will in each small step through the day? Ask. Follow Me as I direct your thoughts. Remember I lead only in directions of purity, Love, and peace. James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, Who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. Do you know what happens when you do not have faith or trust Me? Your foundation of spirit is then built on your flesh, rather than on Truth and trust. Then you have a mind that changes with the opinions of those around you, or with the changing circumstances. You also have emotions that are up one hour and down the next. They lead you like the tracks of a roller-coaster. Your changing mind and up and down emotions produce miserable instability that affects all those around you. Instability produces fear. Fear is contagious and relentless. Fear is the opposite of faith. Fear demands action that is independent from Me. Action that is independent from Me is sin, and it causes pain and darkness to spread. So the spirit of a human that does not have faith in Me is unstable and brings turmoil to the Earth. James 1:6-8 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. Do you consider yourself to be a person of faith? You can know how much faith you have by how patient you are. Are you willing to wait while I work with others behind the scenes? Are you willing to wait while your life seems to be falling apart? Are you willing to wait while others are slow or neglectful in their duties? Are you willing to wait on your own plans, while letting others have their needs met? How willing you are to wait is a gauge or indicator of how much faith you have in Me. No patience equals no faith. Lots of quiet patience and willingness to wait equals lots of faith. How much faith do you have in Me? James 9-11  9 The brother of humble circumstances should boast in his exaltation, 10 but the one who is rich should boast in his humiliation because he will pass away like a flower of the field.11 For the sun rises with its scorching heat and dries up the grass; its flower falls off, and its beautiful appearance is destroyed. In the same way, the rich man will wither away while pursuing his activities. Do you know what it means to Love Me with Real Love? It means you value Me more than you value anything . . . anything that the gods of this world can offer you as a substitute. It means you choose Me over everyone, everything, and every state of existence. It means your choice of Me never changes. That describes Real Love for Me. Does it describe you? James 1:12-14 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and He Himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Sin begins as a thought. The thought mingles or has intimate union with your flesh, as a man and woman have union or sex with each other. The union of thoughts and flesh produce words and actions as their offspring. These offspring are dark deeds of sin that continue to multiply. Their multiplication produces a power that is uncontrollable. This power of darkness surrounds the human spirit and separates it from Me. It can no longer see Truth and Light. It eventually suffocates from lack of the oxygen of Life. It all begins with an undisciplined mind that allows dark thoughts to roam where they will. Take charge over your mind and thoughts, before they take charge over you.
