Letters to Pearl

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith

Your “Culture” or Your Sin?

Are you willing to see your sin and hate it or only look at the sins of others? Are you willing to let go of offenses or cling to them while defending your rights? Are you loving the difficult ones without trying to change them or do you demand that they conform to you? Is your love conditional? Do you allow sin while telling yourself you are “working” on it and besides it is just your “culture” or do you hate all uncleanness and want no part? If you know and belong to Me then you will not want to fail this test. Come Home. 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test! 1 John 1:7, 9 Little children, let no one deceive you: The one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as Christ is righteous, 9 Anyone born of God refuses to practice sin, because God’s seed abides in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. Matthew 7:2-3  2 For with the same judgment you pronounce, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. 3 Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to notice the beam in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while there is still a beam in your own eye?…

Test Yourself

To know and Love someone is to be willing to die for them. Not just physical death but the pain-filled death of the self. This means changing from old life to new. This means changing your opinions, demands, lifestyle, and desires for the One you Love. Test yourself. Do you know and Love Me? John 3:16 For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life. Romans 5:8 But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 1 John 1:7, 9 Little children, let no one deceive you: The one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as Christ is righteous, 9 Anyone born of God refuses to practice sin, because God’s seed abides in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!

Darkness or Light, Death or Life? You Choose . . .

No matter what you believe, there are only two states . . . you are either full of Me or you are full of darkness. There are no other states of being. Do not be fooled. Don’t be cheated from reality. Examine your inner life and you will know. Me or them. Life or death. I Am the Truth and My Name is Jesus Christ. There is no other Name of Truth.  If you have no peace then you do not have Me. If you do not have Me, you have them. John 10:11 I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His [own] life for the sheep. 12 But the hired man [who merely serves for wages], who is neither the shepherd nor the owner of the sheep, when he sees the wolf coming, deserts the flock and runs away; and the wolf snatches the sheep and scatters them. 13 The man runs because he is a hired hand [who serves only for wages] and is not concerned about the [safety of the] sheep. 14 I am the Good Shepherd, and I know [without any doubt those who are] My own and My own know Me [and have a deep, personal relationship with Me]— 15 even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father—and I lay down My [very own] life [sacrificing it] for the benefit of the sheep. 16 I have other sheep [beside these] that are not of this fold. I must bring those also, and they will listen to My voice and pay attention to My call, and they will become one flock with one Shepherd. 17 For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My [own] life so that I may take it back. 18 No one takes it away from Me, but I lay it down voluntarily. I am authorized and have power to lay it down and to give it up, and I am authorized and have power to take it back. This command I have received from My Father. James 1:16 Do not be misled, my beloved brothers and sisters. 17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights [the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens], in whom there is no variation [no rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [for He is perfect and never changes]. 18 It was of His own will that He gave us birth [as His children] by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits of His creatures [a prime example of what He created to be set apart to Himself—sanctified, made holy for His divine purposes]. 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!
