When you have strength, determination, resources, knowledge, and plans, then you have independence. When you are able to “stand on your own two feet” and accomplish your goals, then you are independent. When you are independent, you are strong . . . or so you think. The Truth is that those sought-after states are traps. Independence is a flavored poison or a hidden snare. 1 Corinthians 10:12-13  12 Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. 2 The one who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know. 3 But the one who loves God is known by God. Philippians 4:9 And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
