Idols . . . die to them

When someone dies of a broken heart, then they have died of loving someone other than Me. This is a slow and painful death. I want to save you from dying for your idols. Die to them, not for them. To die is to separate. Separate your self, your will, your desire from all others. Give your heart only to Me. When you die for Me, you will find out what it is to truly be alive. Then idols will have no effect on you. Matthew 22:37-40 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 19:29 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life. Matthew 10:34 Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.35 For I have come to part asunder a man from his father, and a daughter from her mother, and a newly married wife from her mother-in-law—36 And a man’s foes will be they of his own household 37 He who loves [and takes more pleasure in] father or mother more than [in] Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves [and takes more pleasure in] son or daughter more than [in] Me is not worthy of Me
