A Twist in Our Adventure Together

Why are you upset when you are robbed of time, money, things or plans? Do I not own all time, money, things and plans? Do I not Love you and walk with you each day? Rather than be upset by the robbery, consider it a new twist in Our adventure together. Understand that the lost one who made the choice to steal from you is a potential friend who needs Me. James 1:2-4  2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 And let [e]endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:12 Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Romans 8:28 And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. Matthew 6:25, 32-34  Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? . . .  32 your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Spiritual Adultery

11-2 To commit idolatry is to allow something to capture your desire other than Me. It is to commit spiritual adultery. Many things can be idols . . . money, self-glorification, control, influence, bodily desires, peer approval, comfort, happiness, justice. The phrase, “eating meat sacrificed to idols,” means to approve of idols and accept them as legitimate and appropriate whether in your own life or in the lives of others. 1 Corinthians 10:21You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons. 22 Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? We are not stronger than He, are we? 23 All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful, but not all things edify. 24 Let no one seek his own good, but that of his neighbor. 28 But if anyone says to you, “This is meat sacrificed to idols,” do not eat it, for the sake of the one who informed you, and for conscience’ sake; 29 I mean not your own conscience, but the other man’s; for why is my freedom judged by another’s conscience? 1 John 2:15-17 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. Galatians 4:8 Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods. Deuteronomy 6: 4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is One. 5 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.…
