Love covers or hides the sins of others. Trust allows you to expose your sin to Me. Love for others and Trust in My Love for you work together. When you refuse to focus on the faults of another, even though their faults expose their lack of Love toward you, then you cover their sin and prevent it from growing. Covering the sins against you changes your position from being a victim to becoming a shield for them. 1 Peter 4:8 Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no account of wrongs. 6 Love takes no pleasure in evil, but rejoices in the truth. 7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Psalm 115:11 You who [reverently] fear the Lord, trust in and lean on the Lord! He is their Help and their Shield.
