How to “be in Christ”
A man who wants to be fast can choose to learn how to drive race cars and overcome all the obstacles until he reaches his desire to be fast. A man who desires to fly can choose to spend time studying and practicing until he is able to climb inside the airplane and fly. A man who desires to be strong can learn how to operate heavy equipment that can rip apart the earth, push over trees and tear down buildings. Being fast, in the air and strong are all states of being. How did each man reach the state of being fast, in the air and strong? When you answer this question then you have the answer to how you can ” . . . be in Christ . . . ” and ” . . . be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. “ 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name Ephesians 4:22-24 to put off your old self ,which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
